There’s a lot happening across Asia Pacific right now. Enterprises are moving quickly to modernize operations, adopt AI, and manage growing complexity across increasingly distributed environments, and the opportunity ahead for LogicMonitor in the region continues to grow alongside it.

That’s why I’m especially excited to welcome Dave Patnaik to LogicMonitor as our new Vice President of APAC.

I’ve had the chance to spend time with Dave over the past few weeks, and what immediately stood out was his deep understanding of the region, his customer-first mindset, and his experience building high-performing enterprise and partner organizations across APAC. Having led Red Hat’s $1B APJ ecosystem business, along with leadership roles at Forescout, SolarWinds, Wolters Kluwer, Trend Micro, Dave brings deep operational and regional/international experience that will be incredibly valuable as we continue growing across Asia Pacific.

We recently sat down to talk about what’s changing across the enterprise technology landscape, why APAC remains such an important growth market, how customer expectations are evolving, and what excites him most about joining LogicMonitor at this stage of the company’s journey.

John: You’ve spent your career building and scaling enterprise and partner organizations across APAC. What was it about LogicMonitor, and this moment in the market, that made this the right opportunity for you?

Dave: Throughout my career scaling massive enterprise and partner ecosystems in APJ & International markets, I have watched organizations invest millions into monitoring tools, only to end up with more data silos, fragmented views, and worst of all, severe alert fatigue. The human scaled operating model that IT was built on simply cannot keep pace with modern digital complexity.

What brought me to LogicMonitor is the fact that we aren’t just building another dashboard. We are fundamentally shifting the paradigm from reactive visibility to true Autonomous IT. Passing $400M in ARR globally—with our AI operating layer, Edwin AI, already driving a third of total bookings proves that enterprises are hungry for this exact shift. To step in and lead this world class team right as we fundamentally redefine how enterprises operate is a challenge and an opportunity I could not pass up.

John: APAC is an incredibly diverse and fast-moving region. Where are you seeing the biggest opportunities and challenges for enterprise organizations right now?

Dave: The single greatest operational challenge APJ leaders face today is the ‘blind spot problem.’ Today’s enterprise footprint spans legacy on premises data centers, hyper scale public clouds, dozens of SaaS applications, and complex global Internet routing pathways. When an application degrades for a user in Tokyo or Sydney, IT teams waste hours finger pointing because they can not tell if the issue is in their code, an AWS region, a local ISP peering point, or a global CDN.

This is exactly where our massive market opportunity lies. By integrating Catchpoint’s Internet performance intelligence directly into LogicMonitor and feeding that telemetry into Edwin AI, we are eliminating those external perimeters and blind spots entirely. We are giving APJ enterprise leaders a single, cohesive source of truth that connects back end infrastructure directly to real world end user digital experiences.

John: You’ve led large ecosystem and partner organizations throughout your career. How do you see the role of partners evolving across APAC?

Dave: In APJ, partners aren’t just a channel; they are the absolute lifeblood of scale. But the traditional partner relationship based on transactional software reselling is dead. Today, Global System Integrators (GSIs), managed service providers (MSPs), and regional cloud partners are under immense pressure to deliver actual business outcomes, protect client SLAs, and drive down operational toil.

My mission is to build a scalable, highly lucrative partner ecosystem across the region. We are empowering our partners to embed our agentic AIOps directly into their managed services delivery. By arming them with the LogicMonitor platform, we are giving them an AI centric engine to reduce incident noise, accelerate root cause isolation, and pass ‘self-healing’ IT capabilities straight to their end customers.

John: A lot of organizations are trying to balance innovation, AI adoption, and operational resilience all at once. What are customers telling you they need most right now?

Dave: Customers are looking for simplicity and confidence. They don’t want more dashboards or another tool to manage.

What they need right now is predictive resilience and trusted automation. They want a platform that can map complex infrastructure dependencies across their entire estate, prioritize alerts based on actual business impact, and run automated, governed remediation workflows before a human operator even has to get involved. They need technology that quietly handles the operational heavy lifting so their engineering talent can actually focus on topline innovation.

John: LogicMonitor recently announced its Autonomous IT Innovation Program. How do you see AI changing enterprise operations over the next few years?

Dave: The launch of our Autonomous IT Innovation Program marks a deliberate turn toward an AI centric operational future. Over the next few years, AI will become the primary layer through which enterprise teams work. But let me be perfectly clear: this is not about replacing human operators or removing specialized expertise. It is about removing the endless ‘toil’ that burns teams out.

We are building next generation, user-in-the-loop workflows. Edwin AI serves as the front door, swiftly doing the manual compilation, correlation, and guided root-cause investigation across billions of data points in real time. It presents the exact context, blast radius, and remediation options, but keeps the human enterprise operator firmly in the control plane with robust governance. It elevates the role of the IT professional from an exhausted firefighter to a high-level strategic orchestrator

John: What excites you most about the opportunity ahead for LogicMonitor in APAC?

Dave: What excites me most is the raw speed, diversity, and appetite for digital transformation across the APJ market. From the rapid infrastructure scaling in ASEAN to the highly sophisticated enterprise requirements across Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, there is a massive delta between legacy monitoring capabilities and what the modern digital economy requires. LogicMonitor has the right platform, the right AI engine with Edwin, and the absolute perfect market timing to completely dominate this space. The opportunity to build this footprint from the ground up alongside such an ambitious global team is incredibly energizing.

John: As you think about your first 6–12 months, what are your biggest priorities?

Dave: I have three priorities for my first year for APJ:

  1. Modernize and Scale our GTM Team: We are aggressively modernizing our regional go to market execution. We are aligning our teams around an AI-first platform narrative, ensuring every single engagement focuses on unlocking quantifiable business outcomes, rapid time to value, and massive operational ROI for our customers.
  2. Accelerate Regional Expansion: We are expanding deep into targeted high growth enterprise countries, ensuring we have the localized presence, ecosystem partners, support, and domain expertise necessary to back up major enterprise migrations across the APJ theater.
  3. Deepen the Partner Control Plane: We are completely aligning our success with our ecosystem. I want LogicMonitor to be the unquestioned vendor of choice for every major GSI, LSI, VAR and regional service provider looking to deliver modern, self healing digital operations to their clients.
