Is training required before taking the exam?
No, there is no mandatory training for the LMCP exam. If you feel you already have a strong grasp of the LogicMonitor solution and plenty of hands-on experience working with it, you can attempt the exam right away. If you are less experienced with LogicMonitor, we highly recommend that you work through the online training materials and gain plenty of hands-on experience before you attempt the exam.
How many questions are on the exam?
The LMCP exam consists of 40 multiple choice questions. There is no time limit, but you must complete the exam within a single session. You cannot save your work and return later.
Can I use external resources while taking the exam?
Yes, this is an open-book exam. You are free (and encouraged!) to reference LogicMonitor’s help documentation as you work through the exam, and you may reference other online materials as well. You should also have access and be logged into an active LogicMonitor account while taking the exam.
While we encourage you to reference online materials to help you with the exam, we expect (and trust) that each person will complete the exam independently and will not work with other individuals.
How is the exam graded?
To pass the LMCP exam, you must answer 35 out of 40 questions correctly (86%). All questions are weighted the same. For multiple-answer multiple-choice questions, you must select all correct answers for the question to be marked correct. There are no negative points for wrong answers, so if you are unsure of an answer, you may guess.
How many chances do I have to pass the exam?
With each enrollment, you will have 3 chances to take the exam. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you may try again right away or wait and re-try at a later date.
If you fail the exam on your first three attempts and want another chance, reach out to [email protected]. We’ll review your exam results then contact you to provide guidance and information on next steps for retaking the exam.
Why didn’t I receive a confirmation email after I submitted my registration info?
The from address of the confirmation email is “[email protected]” where accountName is the name of your LogicMonitor account. Check your spam folder or any filters you may have configured in your email client.
