The automatic update to MGD Collector 30.001 will deploy on January 10, 2022. This release, which was scheduled for deployment on October 27th, was postponed while we fixed a performance issue. No action is required ahead of this date, but we do recommend that you update to MGD Collector 30.001 as soon as possible. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or LogicMonitor Support if you have further questions.
For more information about this release, see MGD Collector 30.001 Release Notes.
LogicMonitor will make the following updates:
If you are running Collectors on versions later than 29.104 (including 30.001) and are seeing performance issues after you upgrade, disable SSE and see if this alleviates the issue.
If you are running Collectors on versions earlier than 29.104 and these Collectors are of sizes Large or greater, disable SSE before upgrading to MGD 30.001 to avoid performance issues. (You can also disable SSE after the upgrade if you see performance issues.)
There is little downside to disabling the SSE if you’re currently seeing performance issues. The SSE provides a script execution environment to prevent LogicModule scripts from impacting the main Collector process if they get stuck.
To disable SSE, edit agent.conf to change groovy.script.runner=sse to groovy.script.runner=agent. See Editing Collector Configuration Files.
