Security

At LogicMonitor, we take security seriously.

It’s your data – we make sure it stays that way.

Even though LogicMonitor is a hosted service, you do not need to allow the LogicMonitor servers any access through your firewalls.  A small agent runs on one machine inside your firewalls, and makes outgoing encrypted connections to determine what to monitor, and to report data back to the LogicMonitor servers.

Physical Security

  • 24×7x365 manned data centers
  • 24×7x365 secured access to data centers
  • Servers housed in locked cabinets
  • Ingress and egress secured with electronic keycards and biometric hand scans
  • 24×7x365 high resolution, motion-sensitive video surveillance
  • Fully redundant power and HVAC
  • VESDA Fire-threat detection and suppression

Internet Security

  • Data such as snmp community strings are stored only in encrypted format
  • Account passwords are stored only as one way hash
  • All network connections are protected using SSL
  • Multi-layer firewall security
  • Audit logs of all accounts accessed
  • External vulnerability scans
  • Servers run on hardened servers with the latest security patches
  • Redundant routers, switches, server clusters and geographically separate backup systems ensure high availability
