Our interview process: what to expect

At LogicMonitor, we prioritize a positive and transparent candidate experience. While the exact steps may vary slightly by role, level, or region, our structured interview process ensures consistency and fairness for every candidate. Please note that technical roles may include a coding or technical assessment.

1. Application review

Your journey begins by submitting an application for a specific role. Head over to our careers page to see all open positions. Once we receive your application, our Talent Acquisition team reviews your background and experience against the position requirements. If your profile aligns, a recruiter will reach out to schedule your first interview.

2. Initial interview

This first conversation is typically held by phone or Zoom with a recruiter. It’s an opportunity for us to learn more about your experience, skills, and career goals, and for you to learn more about LogicMonitor. The recruiter will discuss your compensation expectations, reasons for exploring new opportunities, and relevant skills and competencies.

3. Video interview

If selected to advance, you’ll meet with the hiring manager on a Zoom interview. This stage focuses on your professional skills, and how your experience connects to the team’s hiring needs. You can expect questions about key accomplishments, problem-solving, AI fluency, and other role-specific competencies.

4. Department interviews

In the later stages of our hiring process, you’ll meet additional members of the team, which may include peers, cross-functional partners, or senior leaders. If you’re interviewing for a role based in one of our Centers of Energy, you’ll typically complete at least one of these interviews in person. For certain positions, such as sales or customer success roles, a final presentation or demo will be part of this stage.

5. Take home assessment

All candidates complete a brief assessment designed to evaluate critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Your recruiter or coordinator will provide prep materials to help you feel confident and ready.

Reference check

For certain roles at LogicMonitor, reference checks are conducted prior to an offer. We typically request three references, including at least one former manager. Your recruiter will let you know early in the process if this step applies to your role.

6. Offer

If selected, your recruiter will contact you with an official offer and provide details about compensation, benefits, and next steps. Once you accept and sign your offer letter, our onboarding team will reach out to prepare you for your first day at LogicMonitor.

Candidate AI Usage Policy

Thank you for your interest in LogicMonitor.

As a leader in AI innovation, LogicMonitor supports the responsible use of AI—by our teams and our candidates. We recognize the value AI tools can bring to how we work and innovate. To align with our values, we provide all candidates with our AI usage policy for LogicMonitor’s interview process.

Prepare, not Perform

Candidates may use AI tools for research, brainstorming, and interview preparation. However, AI may not be used to assist with generated responses or performance during a live interview unless explicitly permitted. This includes live coding, take-home assessments, and all interview formats. If improper AI usage during your interview is detected, your candidacy for the role may be disqualified.

Enhance, not Replace

Our interview process is designed to assess your skills, experience, and unique perspectives. While candidates may use AI to refine their resumes or improve how they communicate their skills and experiences, all submitted materials and responses must accurately reflect their own unique abilities and ideas. We’re looking for your originality! Directly copying and pasting AI-generated content is not permitted.

Example AI Use Cases in Interviews

Enhance the structure or clarity of resumes and cover letters you’ve written
Copying and pasting AI-generated content to write your resume or produce writing samples
Ask for tips on how to prepare for different types of interview questions
Pasting or reading from an AI-generated response/script to answer an interview question
Enhancing or suggesting improvements on how to communicate an idea you’ve created
Presenting AI-generated ideas or solutions as your own unique thoughts
Reviewing your code for errors or to suggest improvements
Generating entire code segments and representing them as your own work
