Scholarship Terms and Conditions

LogicMonitor seeks to increase the percentage of women in the STEM workforce, and are announcing a scholarship for Women pursuing careers in STEM.

General

Only one entry per person. By applying for the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship, you agree to be bound by the official terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).

Participation in the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship constitutes an entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions and LogicMonitor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship. Where applicable, the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Eligibility

The Women in STEM Scholarship Program is open only to students who meet the following requirements:

The student must:

  • Be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year undergrate degree program at a U.S. school in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, and
  • Have completed at least one year of college and
  • Identify as a female student allowed to legally study in the U.S. as applicable.

How to Apply

For the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship, only one application will be accepted. Entrants must enter once during the Scholarship period. For the Scholarship, applicants must fully complete and submit the online Scholarship application form found at logicmonitor.com/scholarship.

Any application that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions is void. All applications become the property of LogicMonitor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Application constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use applicants’s university name, state, country of origin, and/or essay question response for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity in any and all media now or hereafter known, throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification, permission, or approval. Any application found to contain erroneous, expired, canceled, fraudulent, or fake information is void. 

Any attempt by any person to obtain more than one application by any means (including, but not limited to, the use of multiple email addresses, phone numbers, identities, registrations, or logins; or any other unauthorized method of entry) will result in such person’s automatic disqualification from the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship. By submitting an application you agree that LogicMonitor may, from time to time, communicate with you regarding products and services that it believes may be of interest to you.

Scholarship Period

The Scholarship application period begins Nov. 1, 2020 and ends on March 31, 2021, at 11:59 pm PST. Only applications submitted and received during the Scholarship Period will be eligible. LogicMonitor is both the official timekeeper and final arbiter of eligibility for each Scholarship. 

Award

One Scholarship recipient will be selected. The recipient will be awarded a $6,000 LogicMonitor Scholarship to be applied to tuition, fees, or expenses at the winner’s school of attendance. There are no substitutions permitted. The Scholarship award will only be awarded to the person submitting the application and may not be transferred in any way. Any Scholarship details or attempted transfer shall be void. Any prize details not specified above will be determined by LogicMonitor in its sole discretion.

Award Distribution

The LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship will be awarded directly to the recipient’s school. LogicMonitor cannot award Scholarship funds directly to the recipient. If the recipient’s school is unable to process or accept the award, the Scholarship may be awarded to an alternative recipient selected by LogicMonitor staff. 

Recipient Selection

Entrants will be evaluated and selected based on the quality of the applicant’s application essays, and overall need as determined by LogicMonitor staff. 

LogicMonitor staff will screen and choose a recipient for the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship at their discretion. 

LogicMonitor reserves the right to request any additional information from any applicants related to their application prior to decision. Selected recipients may be required to provide a transcript and/or financial aid documentation to verify that all eligibility requirements are met. All decisions (including but not limited to eligibility determinations) will be final and binding and are not subject to challenge or appeal. Scholarship awards are subject to LogicMonitor’s verification of eligibility. The recipient will be required to submit a completed and signed Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability & Publicity Release. Winner’s failure to timely return an executed affidavit and release to LogicMonitor will void the award and LogicMonitor reserves the right to award the LogicMonitor Women in STEM Scholarship prize to an alternate applicant. Recipients are solely responsible for the payment of any applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with their acceptance and receipt of any award. Recipient acknowledges that their award may be subject to U.S. withholding, as applicable, and that they may be required to execute and return to LogicMonitor the U.S. Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service Form W-9.

The recipient will be notified by telephone, email, and/or regular mail using contact information provided on their application. LogicMonitor shall have no liability for any application notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by the potential recipient for any reason. If any potential recipient does not respond within the time required by LogicMonitor, or if any recipient notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to a potential winner, or fails to timely return the affidavit and release to LogicMonitor, the award for that Scholarship will be awarded to an alternative recipient selected by LogicMonitor staff.

Following LogicMonitor’s verification of recipient’s eligibility and receipt of the executed affidavit and release from the recipient, LogicMonitor shall pay the award on recipient’s behalf, directly to winner’s school of enrollment. LogicMonitor will not have any liability to the recipient in the event that recipient’s school refuses, loses, fails to properly apply, or otherwise fails to credit any award for the recipient’s benefit.

The recipient will be available to view on the LogicMonitor website, and in any press releases or other media announcements regarding the Scholarship application.
