When we began looking for our next Chief Technology Officer, we weren’t simply filling a leadership role. We were looking for someone who could help us build the next chapter of LogicMonitor.

Prabhu Nakkeeran brings more than two decades of engineering leadership experience from organizations including New Relic, AWS, F5, and CA Technologies. Throughout that time, he’s built cloud platforms, observability products, and high-performing engineering organizations that serve customers at global scale.

What stood out to me throughout the interview process wasn’t just Prabhu’s technical expertise. It was the way he thinks about customers, leadership, and engineering. As we continue building the future of AI-powered observability and Autonomous IT, I wanted our employees, customers, and partners to hear directly from him.

You’ve held engineering leadership roles at AWS, New Relic, and other industry leaders. What convinced you that LogicMonitor was the right place for your next chapter?

I’ve spent much of my career building observability platforms, and it feels like our industry is entering an entirely new chapter.

AI is fundamentally changing how infrastructure is built, operated, and managed, creating an opportunity to rethink what observability can become. LogicMonitor stood out because it combines a strong foundation with a clear ambition to lead that next phase of the industry.

Just as importantly, every conversation reinforced that this is a company focused on solving real customer problems. The team is ambitious, pragmatic, and deeply customer-centric. That combination made it clear this was the right place for my next chapter.

As you got to know LogicMonitor during the interview process, what stood out to you most about the company, its technology, or its opportunity?

Two things stood out.

First, the opportunity ahead. LogicMonitor has built a strong foundation, but there’s tremendous opportunity as customer environments become more complex and AI reshapes how infrastructure and applications are built and operated. That evolution creates an entirely new set of challenges for observability platforms to solve while continuing to operate at enterprise scale.

Second, the customer focus. It came through consistently during the interview process that LogicMonitor is committed to solving real operational challenges, not simply adding more features. Customers aren’t looking for more dashboards. They’re looking for better outcomes, and that mindset really resonated with me.

Throughout your career, what principles have shaped how you build and lead engineering organizations? What do you believe great engineering teams have in common?

Three principles have guided me throughout my career.

Start with the customer. Great engineering teams stay grounded in customer problems and work backward from the outcomes they want to achieve.

Create clarity and ownership. Teams do their best work when priorities are clear, responsibilities are well-defined, and people understand both what they’re accountable for and why it matters.

Build systems, not heroics. Sustainable engineering excellence comes from strong architecture, thoughtful operating models, and making the right way the easy way. Great organizations don’t rely on individual heroics. They create environments where talented teams can consistently do their best work.

Looking at the industry more broadly, what technology shifts are you most excited about over the next three to five years? Where do you think observability and enterprise operations are headed?

We’re at an important inflection point.

Observability has traditionally focused on helping teams understand what’s happening. Increasingly, it will help them understand why it’s happening and what to do next.

AI won’t simply be layered on top of existing operational workflows. It will become part of how those workflows function every day. As hybrid and multi-cloud environments become more complex, organizations will need platforms that combine observability, automation, and intelligence to help them move faster with greater confidence.

Observability has evolved from a reactive discipline into one that’s increasingly proactive and predictive, connecting technical telemetry more directly to business outcomes.

As you begin meeting customers, partners, and employees, what do you hope they’ll come to know about you as a leader?

I hope people see me as clear, approachable, and focused on outcomes.

I care deeply about connecting strategy to real customer impact and making sure teams understand not just what we’re building, but why it matters.

I also believe the best ideas come from listening. Whether I’m meeting with engineers, customers, or partners, I value honest conversations, thoughtful debate, and creating an environment where talented people can do the best work of their careers—with the right balance of ambition, accountability, and support.

Finally, when customers look back a few years from now, what do you hope they’ll say about the impact LogicMonitor made during this next chapter?

I hope they’ll say LogicMonitor helped simplify complexity.

Not because we gave them more data, but because we helped them operate with greater confidence.

As customers’ environments continue to evolve, I want LogicMonitor to be the platform that brings together observability, automation, and intelligence in a way that delivers meaningful outcomes: faster incident response, more resilient systems, and clearer insight into how technology decisions affect their business.

If we can help customers spend less time managing technology and more time moving their business forward, I’ll consider that a success.
