What has your experience at LogicMonitor been like?
I joined LogicMonitor about two years ago to build LogicMonitor APM organically. It was challenging at first with hiring, onboarding, and aligning the team on the mission, all over Zoom calls. Things started falling into place once we got a great team on board. My experience at LogicMonitor strengthens my belief that people always step up to deliver if they are aligned to a purpose. I’m looking forward to meeting the team in person soon.
What is the most rewarding part of your role?
Building the products to solve our customers’ problems at scale is very satisfying. A unified observability platform becomes necessary with the blurring boundaries between IT personas such as developers, ITOps, SRE, and SecOps. At LogicMonitor we are on the mission to bring these personas together on a single pane of glass. Being part of a great engineering force that is innovating and developing this mission is very rewarding.
One of LogicMonitor’s core values is being Customer Obsessed. What does that mean to you?
I believe that in order to be customer obsessed, one needs to put on the customer’s shoes and commit to consuming their products and services. Being one of the largest SaaS vendors in the observability space, you can imagine the complexity of the underlying infrastructure at LogicMonitor. Every product feature we build must be consumed and valued for ROI within LogicMonitor before it is available to the customer.
What is the best advice someone has given you?
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
What advice would you give to other people in your field of work?
Stay focussed, invested, and think long term. There are always opportunities to contribute and learn new things in any space. There are no shortcuts to knowledge, especially knowledge gained through personal experiences.
If you could learn one new skill, what would it be?
I would like to learn the art of pitching ideas.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy going on a small trek with my family, reading a book, or a solo bike ride on a long peaceful road.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Aloo paratha (bread with mashed potato filling) or rajma (kidney beans) and rice.
What are some of your favorite places in Pune?
Bhimashankar, Parvati Hills, Karla caves during the rainy season, and joints serving Maharashtrian native food (wada/misal pav, bhakris, wadis, etc).
