Hospital and Medical Benefits System (HAMBS) is the trusted technology backbone for more than 70% of Australia’s private health fund brands. The member-owned, nonprofit organization develops and operates the critical systems that power claims processing, member portals, and insurer operations.
When uptime directly impacts reimbursements, portal access, and patient confidence, even minor disruptions can have major consequences.
Private health insurers require continuous system availability. But as HAMBS’ hybrid environment grew more complex, its IT team faced:
