Microsoft Windows

Microsoft Windows, commonly referred to as Windows, is a group of several proprietary graphical operating system families, all of which are developed and marketed by Microsoft.

LogicMonitor includes support for monitoring technologies from Microsoft Windows. We include LogicModules out-of-the-box that monitor critical Microsoft Windows performance metrics to build out dashboards that show the data critical to your IT Operations.

All MS Windows Devices

LogicMonitor has extensive coverage of Windows devices, from Azure, Hyper-V, SQL, Active Directory, and more. LogicMonitor collects metrics from WMI, Perfmon, APIs, and Windows Events. All of this data will show up in the out-of-the-box dashboard designed for Windows Servers.

Over and Under Utilization

LogicMonitor has an out-of-the-box view of the utilization of windows resources that will quickly highlight any alarming trends. Pair it with LogicMonitor’s forecasting capabilities, and users will never be caught off guard with underpowered devices.

Windows Events

Windows Events are shown within the LogicMonitor platform to bring correlation to the next level. With windows metrics, events, and logs all under one platform, users will not have to hop between platforms and have to context switch to troubleshoot an incident successfully.

Setup:

Unlike other monitoring systems, no configuration is required. Simply enter a hostname, and LogicMonitor determines whether the system is a Windows server; 32 bit or 64 bit (and applies appropriate memory thresholds for alerting); discovers all interfaces, physical drives, and logical file systems.
