LogicMonitor is committed to respecting – and protecting – your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information about people who visit our websites, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure. We maintain separate terms for our handling of customers' personal information within our product, which you can read about in our Data Protection Addendum.

Who are we?

LogicMonitor is the premium SaaS-based solution for information technology systems health and performance monitoring. Our business operates out of Santa Barbara California, with offices in Austin TX, London UK, Chengdu CN, and Singapore.

How do we collect information from you?

LogicMonitor may obtain information about you by various means. Most commonly this is when you use our websites, including www.logicmonitor.com, communities.logicmonitor.com, and any others that link to this privacy policy.

Also we may collect information about you when you:

  • visit us at trade shows and events
  • attend our webinars
  • click-through our online advertisements
  • apply for a job *

  • We may also collect information about you via various lead generation tools, and understand that they have attained required consent both to collect your personal information and share that information with us.

    What type of information is collected from you?

    We may collect the following information:

  • phone number
  • workstation IP address
  • information regarding what pages you accessed and when

    We may use your information to contact you for the following reasons:

  • invite you to events we're hosting

  • ask your opinion about our product and the market
  • inform you of promotions we're holding

  • We will keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the relevant activities and review our retention periods for this data on a regular basis.

    Who has access to your information?

    We commit that we will never sell or rent your information to third parties. Nor will we share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

    We may occasionally employ third parties to act on our behalf. Some examples of third party contractors include providing marketing support, analysis and public relations. When we employ such companies, they are provided only with the minimal amount of personal information required to deliver their service. We have contracts in place that require them to keep your information secure, and prohibit them from using that information for any other purpose than to complete the contracted assignments.

    In some cases we may provide services, or sell product lines jointly with selected business partners.

    We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of our business/assets or as part of any business restructuring or reorganization. We may also be required to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to enforce or apply our terms of use or to protect the rights, property or safety of our supporters and customers. If such an event were to occur, we would take steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

    Your choices

    You have a choice about whether or not you wish to be contacted by us. If you do not want to receive communications from us aas described above, you can select your choices by ensuring that you do not tick the relevant opt-in checkboxes on the forms from which we’ve collected your information.

    We will not contact you for sales or marketing purposes – either by email or phone – unless you have given your prior consent either directly to LogicMonitor, or to a third-party to which you've given consent to share your data.     How you can access and update your information?

    The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you.     Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

    When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Any data submitted via LogicMonitor websites is encrypted prior to transmission over public networks. Upon receipt by LogicMonitor, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.

    Profiling

    We may analyze your personal information to create a profile of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you with relevant information as noted above. In some cases we may make use of additional information about you from external sources to help us do this effectively.

    Use of 'cookies'

    The websites operated by LogicMonitor use “cookies” – small text files stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and as such, you will find them at most major websites. By showing how and when visitors use the web site, cookies help us see which areas are popular and which are not. Many improvements and updates to the web site are based on such data as total number of visitors and pages viewed. This information is most easily tracked with cookies.     LogicMonitor’s websites may contain links to other websites run by other organisations. This privacy policy applies only to our website‚ so we encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit. We cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of other sites even if you access them using links from our website.

    In addition, if you linked to our website from a third party site, we cannot be responsible for the privacy policies and practices of the owners and operators of that third party site and recommend that you check the policy of that third party site.

    Transferring EU citizens’ information outside of Europe

    As part of the services offered to you through the LogicMonitor websites, the information which you provide to us will be transferred to countries outside the European Union (“EU”). By submitting your personal data, you’re agreeing to this transfer, storing or processing.

    If you use our services while you are outside the EU, your information may be transferred outside the EU in order to provide you with those services.
