Cluster Alerts Management
Last updated on 28 May, 2025After you configure and save a cluster alert, it displays in the table on the Cluster Alerts Tuning tab. From this table, you can edit the cluster alert configuration, enable or disable the alert, control whether individual alerting is active for the underlying datapoints, delete the cluster alert, or apply bulk actions to multiple alerts.
Requirements for Managing Cluster Alerts
To configure cluster alerts, you need access to a resource group that contains existing resources. To perform bulk actions, you must have a LogicMonitor user account with the appropriate permissions.
Editing Cluster Alerts
- In LogicMonitor, navigate to the Resources Tree.
- Select the resource group you want to edit cluster alerts for, and then select the Cluster Alert Tuning tab.
- In the Actions column, select
Edit.
The Edit cluster alert form displays. - Configure the following in the Edit cluster alert settings:
- From Trigger severity, select the severity for the cluster alert.
- From Operator, select the condition in which the cluster alert is triggered.
- Equal to (=)—Equal to the specific resource threshold criteria.
- More than (>)—More than the specific resource threshold criteria.
- Less than (>)—Less than the specified resource criteria.
- More than or equal to (>=)—More than or equal to the specific resource threshold criteria.
- Less than or equal to (<=)—Less than or equal to the specific resource threshold criteria.
- From Resource criteria, select from total or percentage of resources or instances.
- Total—A static device or instance count.
- % of (percentage of)—A percentage of the total number of resources or instances in a group.
- From Resource Type, select whether the threshold is calculated using the number of resources or instances in a group.
- Resources—Alert threshold is calculated using the number of resources in a group.
- Instances—Alert threshold is calculated using the number of instance in a group.
- From Resource threshold criteria, enter the amount of each alert severity that are required before the cluster alert is triggered.
- From Datasource, select the DataSource.
- From Datapoint, select the Datapoint.
- (Optional) Toggle Disable individual alert notifications on or off to suppress individual alerts.Toggling this switch will suppress duplicate individual alert notifications, meaning you will only receive alerts when the cluster group alert is triggered.
Recommendation: Disable individual alert notifications when using cluster alerts to simplify alert routing. Individual alerts that are part of a cluster are still visible in the Alerts table but will not trigger notifications when disabled.
- Select
Save.

Delete.
