LogicMonitor + Catchpoint: Enter the New Era of Autonomous IT

You can use the Scheduled Downtime (SDT) to suppress routed alert notifications during planned maintenance, upgrades, or other scheduled activities. SDT reduces unnecessary alert noise for events that you expect and do not require action.

During the SDT window, LogicMonitor pauses routed alert notifications. Alerts continue to display on the Alerts page, and Active Discovery continues to run where applicable.

You can schedule SDTs for resources, websites, groups, Services, Collectors, and LogicModules, including DataSources and EventSources. For more information, see Resource SDT

The SDT tab lists all SDT entries in the following categories:

  • Active SDT—An active SDT is currently in effect when the current time falls within the configured SDT window. During this period, alert notifications are suppressed and escalations are paused, while monitoring and data collection continue as normal. The SDT automatically ends at its scheduled end time. For example, if an SDT is configured from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the current time is 11:15 AM, the SDT displays as Active.
  • Upcoming SDT—An upcoming SDT is scheduled for a future time but has not yet started. Alert suppression is not yet in effect. At the scheduled start time, the SDT triggers automatically and is listed under active SDTs.
For recurring SDTs, the next occurrence displays in the schedule. For example, if an SDT is scheduled from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM and the current time is before 1:00 AM on the scheduled day, the SDT displays as Upcoming.
  • Historical SDT—A historical SDT is an SDT whose end time has already passed. Alert suppression is no longer active. The SDT is retained for audit and reporting purposes and can be reviewed using reporting tools. For example, if an SDT ran from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on a previous day, it appears in the SDT Inventory Report when you select a time range that includes that period.

At parent levels such as groups, the SDT tab displays SDTs that apply to subgroups, member resources, or member DataSources. At child levels (for example, instances), the SDT tab displays inherited SDTs from parent resources or groups.

To add and manage SDT, see Resource SDT.
