Action Chains Configuration
Last updated - 30 March, 2026
In an Action Chain, you can define stages of automated actions that include both DiagnosticSources and RemediationSources. Action chains are mapped to Action rules. When alerts match conditions specified in an Action rule, the Action chains run to diagnose and remediate the issue.
Action Chains Considerations
- An Action chain can consist of one or two stages.
- Each stage can contain either a DiagnosticSource or a RemediationSource.
- You can order the stages as a DiagnosticSource followed by a RemediationSource, a RemediationSource followed by a DiagnosticSource, only DiagnosticSources, or only RemediationSources.
- DiagnosticSources and RemediationSources in the Action chain run only when the AppliesTo criteria defined in the DiagnosticSources and RemediationSources modules match the resource that triggered the alert.
