Usage Reporting for Automated Diagnostics and Remediation

The Usage page enables you to view usage metrics for Automated Diagnostics and Remediation in your LogicMonitor portal. The usage metrics display the daily execution count of DiagnosticSources and RemediationSources for your monitored resources in real time. You can view the contracted daily quota of executions, the current daily execution count, and historical executions for the current month and the previous 12 months.

The Daily usage summary displays the daily execution count of all LogicMonitor-provided and custom DiagnosticSource and RemediationSource scripts that are either automated or manually triggered on demand.

Usage data helps you do the following:

• Monitor your diagnostics and remediation usage against the entitled execution quota
• Track your daily and historical diagnostics and remediation usage

The contracted amount indicates the number of executions you can perform per day. You can perform one execution per day or up to 31 executions per month. For example, if you purchase 1,000 units, you are entitled to 1,000 executions per day or up to 31,000 executions over a 31-day month.

You must consider the following points for interpreting data on the Usage page:

• The execution count resets at midnight and follows the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time zone.
• The unused contracted executions lapse at the end of the day.
• You cannot exceed the daily limit. Additional attempted executions do not run.
• The red line on the graph for the current month indicates the daily execution quota purchased by your company.
• The bars on the graph indicate daily execution count for each day.

Billing and Usage Calculation for Automated Diagnostics and Remediation

The following table describes Automated Diagnostics and Remediation usage calculation and how it contributes to billing:

Requirements for Viewing Usage Data for Automated Diagnostics and Remediation

To view usage data for Automated Diagnostics and Remediation, you need the following:

• Automated Diagnostics and Remediation Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) subscription
• A user with the View permission for “Usage” settings

Viewing Usage Data for Automated Diagnostics and Remediation

1. In LogicMonitor, navigate to Settings > Usage.
2. Select “Automated Diagnostics & Remediation” from the Product dropdown menu.
   By default, the combined execution count of DiagnosticSources and RemediationSources for the current day of the month displays.
   The Combined Metrics tab remains disabled and you cannot hide it.
3. Hover over a bar to view the count of executions performed on that day.
4. (Optional) Select the Diagnostics Sources tab to view the count of DiagnosticSources executions performed on that day.
5. (Optional) Select the Remediation Sources tab to view the count of RemediationSources executions performed on that day.

6. (Optional) Select a month to view historical usage data.
   You can select a month to view historical usage data for up to the past 12 months.
