Usage By Contributor
Last updated - 16 January, 2026
If your organization manages multiple LogicMonitor accounts or tenants, you can view usage data by contributor, either child accounts (separate portals) or tenant identifiers (shared portals). By default, Usage Reporting combines parent and child account data.
For information on general usage reporting, see Usage Reporting Overview.
Viewing usage by contributor enables you to do the following:
- Attribute usage to specific resources, teams, or environments
- Track and compare multi-tenant usage patterns
- Identify high-usage contributors for optimization or billing purposes
Note: For more information on general usage metrics, see Usage Per Product.
Requirements for Viewing Usage by Contributor Type
To view or configure usage by contributor, ensure the following:
- A LogicMonitor account with “Usage” and “Administrator” permissions set and visibility into all accounts or tenants you want to review.
- Multi-account structure:
- For child account usage, your organization must manage multiple LogicMonitor portals.
- For tenant usage, a Tenant Identifier property must be configured within the portal. For more information, see Grouping Alerts by Tenant and Tenant Identifier Property Name.
Note: If you do not see the “Usage” page or Contributor options, contact your LogicMonitor administrator to verify permissions and setup.
Viewing Usage by Contributor Type
- In LogicMonitor, navigate to Settings > Usage.
- From the Product dropdown menu, select the product you want to review.
- From the Contributor Type dropdown menu, select either: “All child accounts” or a “specific tenant identifier.”

- From the Contributor table you can select specific accounts or tenants to view their usage.

The Cumulative Usage Graph updates dynamically to reflect your selection.
Per-account or per-tenant usage data is displayed alongside your total organizational usage.
