LogicMonitor Passkey
Last updated - 24 November, 2025
The Passkey feature enables users to register a secure, phishing-resistant method for two-factor authentication (2FA) using built-in device biometrics or platformauthenticators.
Each user can register only one passkey at a time. New passkeys can only be created when an existing one is deleted. After you create a passkey, you can verify the registration status directly in your LogicMonitor portal. This enables you to view what the user has configured and what they have not.
Using LogicMonitor Passkey provides the following benefits:
- Enhanced security—Protects user accounts with cryptographic, phishing-resistant authentication.
- Simplified user experience—Streamlines login by eliminating the need to manually enter verification codes.
- Device-based verification—Uses built-in biometric or platform authenticators for fast and reliable authentication.
- Reduced credential risk—Minimizes exposure to password theft or credential-based attacks.
- Modern authentication support—Aligns with emerging industry standards for secure, password-less login.
Considerations for Creating LogicMonitor Passkey
