The Status tab provides a consolidated view of infrastructure and digital experience health for a service. You can view service status, monitor service datapoints, investigate infrastructure members and associated Experience Tests, review alerts, and access third-party service information from Internet Sonar.

Service Status Summary

The Status tab displays the following service health indicators:

  • Overall Status: Displays the overall health of the service based on the worst status of Infrastructure Status and Experience Status.
  • Infrastructure Status: Displays the infrastructure health of the service based on LogicMonitor service datapoints.
  • Experience Status: Displays the digital experience health of the service based on enabled metrics from associated Digital Experience Tests. Each Experience Test reflects the worst status of its enabled metrics.

Note: Only enabled Experience Test metrics contribute to Experience Status and Overall Status.

Service Datapoints

The Service datapoints section displays the infrastructure datapoints and Experience Test datapoints associated with the service.

Each associated Experience Test appears as a service datapoint.

The following table describes the information displayed for Experience Test datapoints:

FieldDescription
Test NameDisplays the name of the associated Experience Test.
Test TypeDisplays the type of Experience Test.
Monitor TypeDisplays the monitor type, if applicable.
Current StatusDisplays the current health status of the Experience Test.

You can expand an Experience Test datapoint to view its enabled metrics and their current status.

Members

The Members tab displays the infrastructure resources and instances associated with the service.

The following table describes the information displayed in the Members tab:

ColumnDescription
NameDisplays the name of the service member.
StatusDisplays the current status of the member.
TypeDisplays the member type.
Instance nameDisplays the associated instance name, if applicable.

You can use the Filter Members field to search for members in the table.

Experience Tests

The Experience Tests tab displays the Digital Experience Tests associated with the service.

The following table describes the information displayed in the Experience Tests tab:

ColumnDescription
NameDisplays the name of the associated Experience Test.

TypeDisplays the Experience Test type.

You can select an Experience Test name to open the associated Digital Experience Smartboard for further investigation.

LogicMonitor updates the associated Experience Tests when tests are added, removed, or no longer match the saved search criteria. Changes to Experience Test status are also reflected in Service Insights.

Member and Test Alerts

The Member and Test Alerts tab displays infrastructure member alerts and Digital Experience Test alerts associated with the service.

The following table describes the information displayed in the Member and Test Alerts tab:

ColumnDescription
ColumnDescription
SeverityDisplays the alert severity.
Reported atDisplays when the alert was reported.
NameDisplays the name of the affected member or Experience Test.
LogicModule/TestDisplays the associated LogicModule or Digital Experience Test.
InstanceDisplays the affected instance, if applicable.
DatapointDisplays the datapoint associated with the alert.
Alert valueDisplays the value associated with the alert.
ThresholdDisplays the configured alert threshold.

The Member and Test Alerts tab uses the existing Service Insights time-range filtering behavior.

You can investigate the following alerts:

  • Infrastructure alerts: Select an infrastructure alert to open the associated LogicMonitor alert.
  • Digital Experience alerts: Select a Digital Experience alert to open the associated Alert Log entry.

Digital Experience alert generation, thresholds, acknowledgment, and lifecycle management remain in Digital Experience portal. LogicMonitor displays the associated alert information.

Note: Alerts from disabled Experience Test metrics continue to appear in Member and Test Alerts and remain active in Digital Experience portal. However, these metrics do not contribute to Experience Status or Overall Status.

Third-Party Members

The Third-party members tab displays external services identified through Internet Sonar.

Third-party members can include content delivery network (CDN) providers, analytics providers, advertising providers, and payment providers.

You can select a third-party member to open Internet Sonar and investigate the associated external service.

Note: Third-party members provide additional context for service investigation and do not contribute to Overall Status.

LogicMonitor reflects changes to third-party service information identified through Internet Sonar.
