Usage Reporting for OpenTelemetry Metrics

You can use Usage Reporting to view OpenTelemetry Metrics usage in your LogicMonitor portal. The Usage page displays month-to-date usage and cumulative usage for the selected month, enabling you to track OpenTelemetry Metrics consumption over time.

OpenTelemetry Metrics billing is based on the total monthly volume of metric data ingested into LogicMonitor, measured in gigabytes (GB) across the customer portal.

Requirements for Viewing Usage Data for OpenTelemetry Metrics

To view usage data for OpenTelemetry Metrics in Usage Reporting, OpenTelemetry Metrics must be available in your LogicMonitor portal.

Viewing Usage Data for OpenTelemetry Metrics

1. In LogicMonitor, navigate to Settings > Usage.
2. Select OpenTelemetry Metrics from the Product dropdown menu.
3. To interact with the Usage Contributors table, select “All Child Accounts” from the Contributor Type dropdown menu.
4. Select the month for which you want to view usage data.
5. Review the Month-to-date usage value to view cumulative OpenTelemetry Metrics usage for the selected month.
6. In the Cumulative Usage graph, review the following:
   • MTD Cumulative Usage—Displays cumulative usage for the selected month.
   • Projected MTD Cumulative Usage—Displays the projected usage based on the current usage trend.
7. Hover over the Cumulative Usage graph to view usage information for a specific date.
