HP MSA / StorageWorks / P2000

To monitor your HP MSA, StorageWorks, or P2000 devices comprehensively, you'll need to enable SNMP, and configure a user for the XML API.

Enabling SNMP

You can enable the SNMP agent from the command line like this:

set snmp enabled
set snmp-parameters read-community your-community-string

Configuring the XML API User

create user base 2 interfaces wbi roles monitor logicmonitor

Once you've created the user and password for the XML API user, you'll need to set the properties msa.user and msa.pass. The last property that needs set is msa.ssl. Setting it to  "true" will use HTTPS. Setting it to "false" will make the connection to the API via HTTP.
