Two-Factor Authenticator App Verification
Last updated - 04 December, 2025
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using a Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) token adds an extra layer of security to user logins. It ensures that even if a password is compromised, unauthorized access can be prevented using a time-sensitive verification code generated by a registered authentication app.
Requirements for Setting Up Two-Factor Authenticator App
To set up two-factor authentication app, you need the authentication app (for example, Okta, Google Authenticator, or Authy) to be installed on your device.
Setting Up and Logging In using Two-Factor Authenticator App
- In LogicMonitor, navigate to Profile > Security> Setup 2FA app.

- In the Configure 2FA app dialog box, select Confirm to continue setting up 2FA.
- In the Set up an authenticator app modal, do the following:
- Scan the QR code using an Authentication App or enter the Secret key into the Authentication app.
- In the Enter the code from the Authentication application section, enter the code displayed on the Authentication Application in the six-digit code field.
- Select Verify.
- Select Done when the code is verified.
You have successfully set up your two-factor authentication.
- Log in using your LogicMonitor credentials to verify the two-factor authenticator app.

Recommendation: Use LogicMonitor Passkey as your default Two-Factor Authentication method. For more information, see LogicMonitor Passkey.
- Enter the token from the setup authentication app and then select Verify.
You are authenticated and logged in to your LogicMonitor account.
