Collector Release – 19.015

The improvements in the Early Release Collector 19.015 include:

    • SNMP, HTTP and Ping Optimization.  The collector has been optimized to handle up to 1000 average devices communicating via SNMP, HTTP, or ICMP.  These are the first steps in collector optimization across all protocols.
    • JRE Update.  The collector JRE has been updated.

**CORRECTION**: We previously specified that the updated JRE in this collector was not susceptible to attacks specified in this CVE – this may no longer be true. While these attacks involve a high degree of sophistication in order to perform a man-in-the-middle attack, and only expose numerical time series performance metrics, we will be releasing a collector with an updated JRE that is not susceptible to this vulnerability as soon as we can.

Collector version 19.015 can be downloaded from Settings | Collectors| Add, or an existing collector can be updated from Settings | Collectors | Update Collectors.
