Dexda Roles and Users

Last updated on 22 February, 2024

Roles are a predefined set of permissions related to specific tasks and responsibilities. In Dexda, you can create role groups that assign multiple roles to a user. For information on roles and users in LogicMonitor, see Users and Roles.

Key components of the permission model:

  • Roles: Sets of permissions determining how a user can interact with Dexda.
  • Groups: Used to assign one or more Roles to several named Users (Group Members).
  • Users: Inherit permissions through their Group membership.

Note: A user can only belong to one group.

By default, Dexda has two permission roles:

  • Configuration: The user with this role can configure dashboards, models, rules, and actions.
  • Dashboards and Alerts:
    •  View: Users with this role to view can view Dexda dashboards and alerts.
    • Manage: Users with this role to manage can create dashboards, models, and alerts.
  • Integration: The user with this role can work on integration with other platforms for data exchange and incident management.
