Usage Reporting for Automated Diagnostics

The Usage page enables you to view usage metrics for Automated Diagnostics in your LogicMonitor portal. The usage metrics display the daily execution count of DiagnosticSources for your monitored resources in real time. You can view the contracted daily quota of executions, the current daily execution count, and historical executions for the current month and the previous 12 months.
The Month-to-date usage summary displays the daily execution count of all LogicMonitor-provided and custom DiagnosticSource scripts that are either automated or manually triggered on demand.
Usage data helps you do the following:
- Monitor your diagnostics usage against the entitled execution quota
- Track your daily and historical diagnostics usage
- Provide visibility into on-demand and automated execution of diagnostic scripts
The contracted amount indicates the number of executions you can perform per day. You can perform one execution per day or up to 31 executions per month. For example, if you purchase 1,000 units, you are entitled to 1,000 executions per day or up to 31,000 executions over a 31-day month.
Considerations for Viewing Usage Data for Automated Diagnostics
To view usage data for Automated Diagnostics, you need to consider the following:
- The execution count resets at midnight and follows the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time zone.
- The unused contracted executions lapse at the end of the day.
- You cannot exceed the daily limit. Additional attempted executions are not executed.
- The red line on the graph indicates the daily execution quota purchased by your company.
- The bars on the graph indicate daily execution count for each day.

Requirements for Viewing Usage Data for Automated Diagnostics
To view usage data for Automated Diagnostics, you need the following:
- Automated Diagnostics Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) subscription
- A user with the View permission for “Usage” settings

Viewing Usage Data for Automated Diagnostics
- In LogicMonitor, navigate to Settings > Usage.
- Select “Automated Diagnostics” from the Product dropdown menu.
By default, the execution count for the current day of the month displays.
- Hover over a bar to view the count of executions performed on that day.
- (Optional) Select a month to view historical usage data.
