EA Collector 38.100

Last updated on 24 June, 2025

Feature Highlights

  • Watchdog Process Performance Improvement
  • SBProxy Performance Improvement
  • Migration to Amazon JAVA Corretto v21

LogicMonitor EA Collector 38.100 is released on June 24, 2025. It is based on EA Collector 37.300 and includes the following additional updates.

Enhancement

Watchdog Process Performance Improvement

LogicMonitor Collector has optimised the way in which “last known feed” is stored in Watchdog, thereby fixing the memory spike issues in the Watchdog process.

Enhancement

SBProxy Performance Improvement

In SBProxy, in some rare cases, it was observed that for WMI DataSources sometimes the Collector failed to initialise WMI connection with monitored devices. After fixing this issue, the connection initialises as expected.

Enhancement

Migration to Amazon JAVA Corretto v21

To ensure that Collectors run on the latest tech stack, LogicMonitor Collector has migrated from the current Amazon JAVA Corretto v11 to the latest Amazon JAVA Corretto v21.0.7.6.1.

Note:

  • No changes are required from customers.
  • All existing functionality and monitoring capabilities remain unaffected.
Resolved Issue

Fixed an issue where SNMP traps ingested as LM Logs populated the trapOID field with the raw value (the OID) instead of the translated value (name of the OID). As a result, when the trapOID is translated, the log message and the trapOID field now display the translated value of the trapOID.

Resolved Issue

For Collector installed on Linux Docker Container, due to an obsolete check in the diagnose.sh script, the script failed to run resulting in errors. After fixing this issue, the script now runs as expected.
