Release Note

EA Collector 39.400

Feature Highlights

  • Support for Vault Integration with TopologySources
  • Removed !packetcapture2 Collector Debug Command for Windows

LogicMonitor EA Collector 39.400 is released on February 26, 2026. It is based on EA Collector 39.300 and includes the following additional updates:

Enhancement

Support for Vault Integration with TopologySources

Vault integration now supports TopologySources data collection. Resource properties configured for vault integration used in TopologySources are fetched at runtime for TopologySources execution.

Enhancement

Removed !packetcapture2 Collector Debug Command for Windows

LogicMonitor Collector no longer supports the !packetcapture2 debug command for Windows to comply with updated third-party software requirements.
If required, you can manually install Npcap to perform packet capture. For more information, see Npcap library for Windows from Npcap.

Note: These changes do not apply to Linux Collectors.

Resolved Issue

Fixed an issue that caused the !packetcapture debug command to fail with an “Operation not permitted” error on Linux non-root Collectors running on GD Collector 37.004 or later.
As a result of the fix, Collectors now validate the tcpdump binary prior to applying network capabilities. This ensures that capabilities are granted only to the trusted, root-owned binaries.

Note: LogicMonitor has made best efforts to update network capabilities, and there is no impact on Collector upgrades if the !packetcapture command is unable to fetch the desired result.

Resolved Issue

Fixed an issue that ignored the SNMP v3 authentication configurations due to a Null Pointer Exception (NPE) when SNMP trap Collector configuration property is disabled (that is, eventcollector.snmptrap.enable=false).

14-day access to the full LogicMonitor platform
